Caution: ObamaCare Costs Going Up!

If you and your spouse make more than $95,000 a year your health insurance policy under ObamaCare more than doubled this year and its going up again next year by 10-17.5% in Arizona. My policy for my family of five went from $471 per month with a $10,000 deductible before ObamaCare to $971 per month and a $13,000 deductible with ObamaCare.
Over the 30 years of our marriage, my wife and I have kept our Insurance Premiums around $400-500 per month by raising our deductible every time the Insurance Company tried to raise our Preimiums. We started out at a $100 Deductible in 1985 and saw it go up to $10,000 the last year before we were forced to buy an ObamaCare Policy, when it jumped to $13,000. (Keep reading, I do have a solution to recommend)
ObamaCare simply costs too much and provides too little and leaves too few options and very few genuinely healthy alternatives. It is paid for through collected taxes, penalties, spending cuts and “reforms” to the health care industry that may bankrupt our nation, kill personalized care, cut innovation, ration life extending services and destroy our freedom to choose our own physician or the type of healthcare coverage we truly desire.
The greatest cost of ObamaCare, howerver, is the loss of individualized and personalized health care. The worst of the current insurance practices are getting worse as doctors are being required to follow the restricted protocols approved by the non-medical bureaucrats that decide what lab tests, medicines, devices and treatments are medically necessary and covered under ObamaCare. We are now paying more and getting less, waiting longer and often never seeing a doctor at all. Under ObamaCare, more and more Nurse Practitioners and Physcian’s Assistants have become the primary healthcare providers. These numbers will only continue to get worse. This is not the change any of us wanted or hoped for.
ObamaCare now has a proven track record of being more costly and of lower quality than what you may have had before because of all the mandated but unwanted or unneeded coverage that has been added to it by President Obama and his bureaucrats who have put their politics ahead of reason and wisdom.

What’s the Best Way to Side-Step ObamaCare and Cut Your HealthCare Costs Legally without the Penalty Tax?

Join a health care sharing group. These are voluntary, charitable membership organizations that agree to share medical bills among the membership. They are not insurance companies, but are probably the best alternative to conventional health insurance. There are three that are open only to practicing Christians (Samaritan Ministries, Christian Healthcare Ministries, and Medi-Share) while a fourth, Liberty HealthShare, is open to anyone who agrees with their ethical commitment to religious liberty.

Liberty HealthShareSM is the Alternative that I chose for my family and the one that I recommend

Liberty HealthShare’s Statement of Shared Beliefs:Liberty Complete

  • We believe that our personal rights and liberties originate from God and are bestowed on us by God, and are not concessions granted to us by governments or men.
  • We believe every individual has a fundamental religious right to worship the God of the Bible in his or her own way.
  • We believe it is our biblical and ethical obligation to assist our fellow man when they are in need according to our available resources and opportunity.
  • We believe it is our spiritual duty to God and our ethical duty to others to maintain a healthy lifestyle and avoid foods, behaviors or habits that produce sickness or disease.
  • We believe it is our fundamental right of conscience to direct our own healthcare, in consultation with physicians, family or other valued advisors, free from government dictates, restraints and oversight.

These beliefs form the moral, spiritual and ethical basis for our interaction and relationship as a community. We make a somber and significant pledge to one another that we will aid, support and devote our resources to one another in this most personal area of our life: our healthcare!

To qualify as a Sharing Member of Liberty HealthShareSM, an applicant must comply with the lifestyle requirements contained in the guidelines listed below:

  1. Refrain from tobacco use in any form.
  2. Follow biblical teachings on the use or abuse of alcohol.
  3. Avoid abuse of prescription drugs, which means consuming prescription medications in a manner not intended by the prescriber that would likely result in bodily harm or dependency.
  4. Abstain from the use of illegal drugs. Illegal drugs includes, but is not limited to, any hallucinogenic substance, barbiturates, amphetamines, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, illegal intravenous drugs, or narcotics.
  5. Exercise regularly and eat healthy foods that do not harm the body.

How it Works?

Medical costs are shared by the group on a per person per incident basis for illnesses or injuries incurring medical expenses when medically necessary and provided by or under the direction of licensed physicians, osteopaths, urgent care facilities, clinics, emergency rooms, or hospitals (inpatient and outpatient), or other approved providers of conventional or naturopathic care.
Medical expenses eligible for sharing include, but are not limited to, home health care, physician and hospital services, emergency medical care, medical testing, x-rays, ambulance transportation and prescriptions, unless otherwise limited or excluded by these Guidelines.
Total bills incurred must exceed an Annual Unshared Amount (AUA) to be eligible for sharing (See IV. C.1.). A Medical Expense Incident is any Medically diagnosed condition receiving medical treatment and incurring medical expenses of the same diagnosis.
All related medical bills of the same diagnosis comprise the same incident. Such expenses must be submitted for sharing in the manner and form specified by Liberty HealthShareSM.

Naturopathic and/or Alternative Treatments

Treatment provided by a Naturopath or other practitioner of alternative treatments is eligible for sharing if such treatment meets the following criteria:
  1. It treats a medically diagnosed condition.
  2. It is less invasive than conventional medical treatment for the diagnosed condition.
  3. It is less costly than conventional medical treatment and is expected to prevent more costly future conventional treatment.
  4. It is presented for prior approval to Liberty HealthShareSM and the member agrees to any alteration of the treatment plan made by Liberty HealthShareSM.

Liberty HealthShareSM is a legal entity allowed under special exemption within the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare), but operate entirely outside of the Affordable Care Act’s “Insurance requirements.” All of these types of plans typically offer benefits for about half the cost or less than similar ObamaCare MarketPlace Insurance Plans and they are exempt from the penalty tax otherwise charged to anyone who does not buy an ObamaCare Affordable Care Act Insurance Policy.
